B.T. Leigh’s Scores Big at Sauce King NYC — Six Years Running

If there’s one thing we love more than making flavors, it’s making award-winning flavors. This year, we’re proud to share that B.T. Leigh’s has once again been honored at Sauce King NYC, marking our sixth straight year bringing home honors from one of the most respected flavor competitions in the country.

Yep, six years. A whole flavor streak. And we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

What We Brought Home This Year

This year’s winners shine in their own way, and we’re thrilled to celebrate them:

  • Somethin' For Autumn — A warm, cozy apple-bourbon spice blend that turns simple dishes into fall-forward comfort food. Sweet, savory, and balanced without being heavy-handed.
  • Somethin' To Dill With — Our bright, herbaceous dill blend that brings fresh, tangy personality to vegetables, seafood, chicken, potatoes, and pretty much anything else you throw at it.

Both spice blends stood out in categories stacked with serious competition, earning high marks for creativity, flavor, and craftsmanship.

Why Sauce King NYC Matters

Sauce King NYC is one of the nation’s top competitions for artisan sauces and seasonings. Judges taste everything blindly and choose their winners based solely on flavor, balance, and execution—no labels, no stories, just the sauce.

For a small-batch Kentucky brand like ours, earning recognition year after year means the world. It’s proof that quality, craft, and a whole lot of heart matter just as much as great ingredients.

Celebrating Six Straight Years of Wins

Since 2020, B.T. Leigh’s has earned a spot on the Sauce King podium every single year. Here’s a look at our flavor journey:

  • 2020: Our competition debut—and our first win.
  • 2021: Back for more and recognized again.
  • 2022: Continued growth and continued wins.
  • 2023: New sauces, new gold.
  • 2024: A big year with multiple winners.
  • 2025: Somethin' For Autumn and Somethin' To Dill With keep the streak alive.

Every award represents countless hours of testing, tasting, refining, and obsessing over the details. It also represents you—our community of home cooks, grill bosses, food lovers, and flavor chasers—who push us to keep creating.
