What kinds of sauces are in this collection?
B.T. Leigh’s sauce collection includes barbecue sauces, marinades, vinegar sauces, and versatile finishing sauces for grilling, smoking, roasting, dipping, glazing, and meal prep.
Are B.T. Leigh’s sauces gluten free?
Yes. Our sauces are made with gluten-free ingredients, making them a great option for households looking for more flexible pantry staples.
Are your BBQ sauces vegan friendly?
Yes. Our sauces are vegan friendly, so they work for plant-based meals as well as chicken, pork, beef, and seafood.
Does B.T. Leigh’s use seed oils?
No. We removed all seed oils from our sauces in 2023. All our sauces and marinades are seed oil free. Avocado oil is in - seed oil is out.
Are these sauces just for barbecue?
Not at all. While they’re great on the grill and smoker, they also work for meatballs, wings, sandwiches, grain bowls, roasted vegetables, sheet pan meals, and quick weeknight dinners.
Can I use these sauces as marinades?
Yes. Many of these sauces work beautifully as marinades or glaze-style finishes. You can use them before cooking for flavor, during cooking for layering, or at the end for a final hit of sauce.
What makes B.T. Leigh’s sauces different from typical grocery store barbecue sauce?
Our sauces are layered and balanced, with flavor profiles that are both unfamiliar and nostalgic. We don’t believe in one-note sweetness or heat, instead, we bring more dimension and depth to the plate, whether that’s mustard and maple, vinegar and harissa, or mango, chile, and citrus.
Which sauce should I choose for pulled pork, chicken, or ribs?
For classic barbecue nights, start with Somethin’ Somethin’ Sauce, our sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. For brighter heat or a more tangy finish, The Magical Mop, our harissa-inspired vinegar sauce will make you mop the plate.
Are these sauces good for everyday cooking?
Yes. From ham sandwich to hamburger or salad to slaw, these sauces are built for everyday cooking, not just backyard barbecue weekends.
Do your sauces contain artificial ingredients?
No. We focus on all-natural ingredients and bold flavor without unnecessary extras.
What foods pair well with your sauces and marinades?
These sauces pair well with ribs, pulled pork, grilled chicken, burgers, wings, shrimp, meatballs, roasted vegetables, sandwiches, tacos, rice bowls, and appetizers. They’re meant to be versatile, so you can use them far beyond traditional barbecue. Somethin’ for anything!
